Get Involved with your Child's School
Our mission is to bring parents, teachers, and government agencies together to speak on behalf of our students and our school. We want every parent and teacher to be a PTA member so that our voice can be heard and make a positive difference for our children.
PTA is more than a local fundraising group for our school. It is an organization focused on the education, safety, and well-being of our children.

Meet your 2016-2017 Hulstrom PTA
I have had the amazing opportunity to be a part of the Hulstrom Community for eight years. I have four children, an 8th grader, 7th grader, 4th grader and 1st grader who have all attended Hulstrom starting in Kindergarten. While these four are the center of my world I also enjoy my part-time career at a wireless technology company. I have always loved that Hulstrom and the Hulstrom PTA have always looked for support from the parents/families and I have had the opportunity to volunteer in different areas over the years from bringing a teacher meal, manning a table at an event or being on the PTA leadership team. All of these opportunities have opened the doors to amazing friendships and connections for me and my children. The Hulstrom community has truly become a second family to me and I look forward to having a larger part in serving our community as Co-President of the PTA this year. I am excited for what this school year will bring and I look forward to meeting the new families and seeing old friends.
My family began our journey at Hulstrom in 2008, when my middle child was accepted into Kindergarten 2 days after school began! We quickly transferred him into Hulstrom and began a year with two children in two different schools. The following year my oldest child was accepted into Hulstrom as a fourth grader. My oldest is now a junior at Legacy High School in the L2K program, and I have a 8th and a 5th grader here at Hulstrom. I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the Hulstrom community for the last 9 years. I continue to enjoy serving on the PTA. I find it a fantastic way to get involved, strengthen friendships and make new friends. Over the past 8 years I have had the pleasure of working with membership, volunteers, fundraising, family events, and now as Co-President.
When I am not at Hulstrom, I am either busy at home or volunteering at church in TruthQuest, VBS or AWANA. I love to read, camp, exercise, sew, crochet or bake when I find time. I look forward to meeting many new faces this year! Please come introduce yourself to me at a PTA meeting.
Hi, my name is Nikole Odell and this is my fourth year serving as Treasurer for Hulstrom's PTA. I have 3 boys who are growing up way too fast: my oldest is a freshman at Horizon, and I have a 7th and a 4th grader, here at Hulstrom. I enjoy reading, working out, being outdoors, and doing anything with my boys. Right now, I am back in school working on becoming a nurse.
I have loved my time as Treasurer. My oldest did not start at Hulstrom in kindergarten, and I was definitely a little lost trying to figure out how our new school worked. Jumping in and volunteering at the school and in the PTA has helped me forge friendships with other families and the wonderful teachers and staff at Hulstrom much faster than I would have, otherwise. Plus, I just like to have fun and that is easy to do at all of the great activities and events at Hulstrom. Best wishes to all for a great school year!
Teacher & Community Services Coordinator
Hi everyone, my name is Audrey Chapel and I'm so happy to be a part of our great community at Hulstrom! I have 2 boys, one going into 10th grade and one going into 8th. They were both at Hulstrom from kindergarten through 8th grade. Throughout the years, I've had many different roles on PTA. This year, I look forward to taking care of our amazing teachers with special meals on conference days and coordinating volunteer opportunities outside of school and the Community Outreach coordinator. I can always use a hand, if anyone would like to help, please let me know!
Communications & Reflections Chair
My family and I are very blessed to have been a part of the Hulstrom Community for the past four years. My degree is in nursing and while I still work one night a week, most of my time is spent at home and at school events with my two daughters. My oldest will be in 4th grade and my youngest will join the Kindergarten class of 2017-18. Being an active participant in events that support our teachers and students is important to me and joining the PTA has been a great way to become more involved. This will be my third year serving as Reflections Coordinator for Hulstrom and my second year on the PTA leadership team in the Communications role.
I'm excited for the start of another great year at Hulstrom, for the opportunity to meet new families and to re-connect with familiar faces too!
New Family Services Coordinator
I have two kids who are in 3rd grade and 5th grade this year. My husband and I moved to Colorado eleven years ago and I work full-time in Financial Services for Kaiser Permanente. Since I am unable to volunteer at school during the day, serving on the PTA Leadership Team allows me to stay involved in the Hulstrom community. I enjoy my role as New Family Services Coordinator because I remember the feeling of coming to Hulstrom in kindergarten, only knowing a few people, wondering if we made the right school decision and hope to ease that feeling for families new this year and hope that you love Hulstrom as much as we do!
My husband, Don, and I have one daughter starting the fifth grade. We have been in the Hulstrom family since our daughter started Kinder. I do not work outside the home but have two Paint horses that keep me busy during the day. Because of this, I'll often be seen in jeans and cowboy boots since I will more than likely be heading to the barn to ride. My daughter plays soccer and my husband coaches a different soccer team. If I am not at the barn, I’m at the soccer field. Any chance I get, I love taking my two black labs for a walk.
This is my first year in the leadership team and look forward to the opportunity to work along exceptional families.
Family Events Co-Coordinator
My name is Dannielle Pietsch, I’m 29 years old. I was born and raised here in Colorado. My husband David and I have two children a 3rd grader and a 1st grader here at Hulstrom. I have been doing daycare/early childhood education for the past 10 years. My passion for children has led me to my position on PTA. I have been involved in Family Events for the past three years. This year Michele Fleitas and I will be co-chairing all of the great family events at Hulstrom. I enjoy working with the students and watching them grow over the years. I am excited to see what this year brings.
Family Events Co-Coordinator
Hi, My name is Michele Fleitas. Clif and I have a daughter going into 1st grade and son in pre-K. I’m a nurse and work part time at Children’s Hospital North Campus in the surgery department. I’ve lived most of my life in California, Michigan and Indiana and have been in Colorado since 2007. I’m co-chair of family events this year with Danielle Pietsch. I wanted to be a part of the family events to help create fun activities to bring the Hulstrom community together. We are always open to new ideas so please reach out to Danielle or myself if you would like to be involved.
