JOIN & LEARN ABOUT THE HULSTROM PTA
Get Involved with your Child's School
Our mission is to bring parents, teachers, and government agencies together to speak on behalf of our students and our school. We want every parent and teacher to be a PTA member so that our voice can be heard and make a positive difference for our children.
PTA is more than a local fundraising group for our school. It is an organization focused on the education, safety, and well-being of our children.
Front Page Updates: The PTA front page (the page you see now) is where you will find all the most current information and updates. It's the one place you can go to find out what is new. In addition to this front page, we now have several additional PTA pages that you can visit for more information.
Additional Pages: You will notice that the PTA website now has several different sections to help you navigate and find information easier. The Main Menu (the list on the left side of every Hulstrom web page) now includes additional links under the main PTA header. You can use that list to link to several specific content areas, or simply follow the links below:
If you have any questions about the website or find any errors or problems, feel free to contact our PTA Webmaster, Michelle Dorsett, at 303-280-7292 or michellePTA@comcast.net
(Also, sorry if you encounter some slight formatting issues on this website...due to the coding interface, they are beyond my control.)
2010-2011 VOLUNTEER SURVEY
The end of the school year is rapidly approaching, but the PTA summer planning is just beginning. The PTA will be working hard over the summer to plan wonderful events for Hulstrom families for the 2010-2011 school year. These events would never succeed without our wonderful volunteers. In lieu of a paper form usually filled out at registration, this year we are using an electronic survey for this process. Please take a minute to complete the volunteer survey made possible by our awesome Teacher Librarian, Mrs. Israelson by clicking on the link below.

The 2010-2011 School Year is Right Around the Corner! Believe it or not, we are already thinking hard about the 2010-2011 school year and making some exciting plans. The PTA has created a New Family Information Packet that provides all types of key information for incoming Hulstrom families. (Current Hulstrom families may benefit from the information in this packet as well.) This packet will be handed out in hard copy to kinder parents on Kindergarten Night.
WOW . . . and THANK YOU: Below is a list of some of the ways your contributions helped our school during the 2009-2010 school year. This upcoming year, with critical budget cuts, your contributions are even more vital. Thank you for what you give.
As I'm sure all of you have heard, our school district budget is being cut by $18-24 million. This will directly impact all of our students, teachers, and facility. We are more thankful than ever for the way your support to PTA has directly helped our kids this year so far. This year PTA has been able to support the school, thanks to our family contributions, in the following ways:
That is a total of $21,925!!!
See the Events Page for a listing of all the currently scheduled Restaurant Spirit Nights.
***All Volunteers, please see a message here about noise levels in the workroom.***

More Ways to Earn Money for our School
Collect your Box Tops! Hulstrom earns 10 cents for every Box Top we collect, and it adds up fast. All you have to do is clip Box Tops from boxes, cans, and other items that show the Box Top symbol. Turn in your clipped Box Tops to the green PTA box in the main foyer. You can turn in Box Tops at any time. Our goal is raise at least $2,000 in Box Tops---if we reach our goal, there will be a school-wide assembly to celebrate! Check the main foyer for our progress so far toward this goal. (Click on the Box Tops symbol for more information.)
Collect Campbell's Soup Labels! We are also collecting Campbell's Soup Labels for Education. These labels can also be turned in to the green PTA box in the main foyer. (Click on the Labels for Education symbol for more information.)
Earn money for Hulstrom with every Subway purchase! When you make a purchase at Subway using a Subway Card linked to our school, Hulstrom earn a portion of every purchase you make. (Click on the Subway icon for more information.)
Shop with a Target Red Credit Card or Check Card. With a Target Red Card, you save and our school earns money. You can sign up for a Target Red Credit Card and get an immediate 10% off, and both types of cards help you earn points and receive additional coupons from Target Stores throughout the year. And Hulstrom gets 1% back on every purchase you make!
