Battle of the Books (Grades 4-5)

Each year, participating 4th and 5th grade students compete in a district competition known as Battle of the Books!  Students read a collection of district assigned books, with the intent of answering questions during a "battle" to earn points.  Students must know the title and author of their book and have an understanding of key events, themes, and dialogue that occur in the different texts.  Teams from Hulstrom K-8 have won the district "battles" multiple times over the years!  The club meets after school in October through April.  For more information, please email Jacquelyn VanAuken, 4th grade teacher, at van018216@adams12.org.
