2024 Bond Program, Investing in Student Success

Hulstrom K-8 Bond Projects

Through the 2024 bond, students and staff at Hulstrom K-8 will see improvements to learning environments, upgrades to the school’s interior and exterior, as well as the introduction of career and technical education (CTE) programs. In all, Hulstrom K-8 will see between $4.8 million and $5.7 million in bond-funded investments.

Classroom space at Hulstrom will be converted to support the school's new CTE programming, which will expose students to practical, hands-on learning in areas including design, business and entrepreneurship.

Exterior upgrades include repairs to concrete and playground surfaces, while new HVAC systems will provide more consistent comfort for students and staff alike. Projects to provide improved drainage, sidewalk repairs and new security features — including intercoms and exterior door sensors — will also be completed over the course of the bond. These upgrades will modernize the school and better support both academic and extracurricular programming.

Projected construction budget:

$4.8 million to $5.7 million

The 2024 bond is focused on improving and updating facilities across the district. All bond projects will benefit students, staff and the community by investing in our buildings and – by extension – investing in our community. These investments vary from paving and resurfacing projects to major interior and exterior overhauls to update school furnishings and finishes.

All schools are also receiving comprehensive IT upgrades through the 2024 bond. These upgrades will support faster network connections and support advanced classroom tools. IT projects will also boost school safety and security, with improved security cameras, exterior door sensors and updated safety systems.
