Hulstrom Advisory Committee meet to focus on students
This week, the Hulstrom K-8 Advisory Committee, consisting of staff, parents, and community members, held their quarterly meeting that focuses on all aspects around the Five Year Plan and the Unified Improvement Plan, including but not limited to creation, evaluation, and communication.
The Committee reviewed data and celebrated Hulstrom's MAPS results, showing the highest Reading and Math achievement in the district paired with high growth in both areas, as well. The Committee were encouraged by the high growth because high-achieving students often need unique support and programming to not only achieve but to grow that achievement.
The Committee kept this in mind as they visited classrooms to see the hard-working students making their learning visible, with the support of Hulstrom's world-class staff. The students' engagement and enthusiasm really highlight the outcomes of the work and collaboration that come out of the Advisory Committee on a yearly basis.
Special thanks to the Hulstrom K-8 community for submitting this Five Star Story.
