Welcome Back to it 2021-2022!
No doubt about it, this will be another unique kind of year. I'm looking forward to being back (in what ever way that may be), this being my 14th year (I think) at THE Hulstrom K-8. Each year so far has been memorable, and I'm looking forward to seeing how we rebound from last year.
Before making my way here, I spent three and a half years working with the Visually Impaired Program of Denver Public Schools before deciding to become a classroom teacher. I grew up in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University (GO RAMMIES!) in 2004 and, so far as I can tell, Colorado is one of the best places to live on this planet. I gained my teaching certificate and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver in 2008.
Usually, when I’m not in the classroom, myself and my crew, which is my exceptional wife, daughter Juliet, a Hulstrom 7th grader this year (wait, WHAT now I'm gonna have her in class!?) and her adorable little brother Aiven, now a mature and increasingly wity Hulstrom 4th grader (I worry for Mr. Grabhorn), and I would remiss if I forgot our wonder-mut Ivy, are house tinkering, or out doing something quintessentially Coloradoan, camping, fishing, skiing, hiking..."and all that jazz!"
A little mantra I try to follow is this: Life is something best done living; we are here now.
I'm glad to have your child a part of this space and I'm looking forward to another great year! Please email or call with any questions or ... questions.
